Here we are, another month into the first build, and I must admit, I haven't done a great job keeping you all up to date on the progress. A lot has happened since my last post, and I'm excited to share the latest updates.
We've reached a significant milestone: the house is now dried in, and I couldn't be happier with the roof installed by Proformance Roofing. The PGT Windows and Doors from Impact Window Center in South Florida have also arrived and been installed by a friend. The quality and appearance of these windows and doors are truly impressive. It's clear why they're considered the top choice for impact windows and doors in the State of Florida.
The Clopay Impact Ultra-Grain Walnut garage door, provided by Overhead Door of America, is absolutely breathtaking and adds another level of elegance to the exterior of the home. The stucco job on the house is one of the best I've ever seen, and we even stuccoed the ceilings in the front entry and back porch, using concrete board instead of interior sheetrock to ensure durability and longevity.
Every interior wall has been insulated for sound and privacy before the sheetrock was hung, taped, and mudded. My friend and painter, along with his amazing crew, completed the interior and exterior painting in just two days, and the results are stunning.
Our current goal is to have the project completed by the end of March. Last Friday, we began installing tile floors in the bathrooms and laundry room. On Monday, Stradas HVAC and Electrical teams will come out to bring the house online, allowing us to start the finishing touches. Later this week, we'll be installing cabinets and countertops, followed by the installation of hardwood floors and carpet.
The exterior of the house will also see significant progress this week. The septic system will be installed, and later in the week, we'll install the black soffit, fascia, and gutters. Finally, we'll add the finishing touch of Bahama Shutters in the front.
In addition to our ongoing construction progress, I'm excited to share that we've recently closed on three more lots in the past two weeks, and we're actively pursuing more acquisitions. I'm currently in the process of submitting two additional building permit applications, with the goal of starting two more projects within the next 45 days and getting this current house sold.
My one-year anniversary is in June, and I couldn't be more thrilled with everything that has been accomplished thus far. I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who has supported me in fulfilling my dreams of becoming my own boss and a quality home builder. Your support has been invaluable in making True Florida Homes stand out.
