GCON is pleased to announce that 16 individuals joined the 2nd Annual GCON 2025 LEADERS Program, representing various roles, regions, and market segments within the company. The three-day workshop and team-building event was held from March 26th - 28th in Scottsdale, AZ.
This program helped participants gain deep insights into their leadership styles, understand others better, and learn to use Predictive Index (PI) data for coaching more effectively. Following the workshop, there was a half-day of team-building activities, ranging from blindfolded obstacle courses to hula hoop games, all aimed at reinforcing leadership lessons. These 16 individuals are now equipped to work with their team members and approach coaching conversations systematically. Congratulations, !

When it's International Data Center Day, of course we geek out about mission critical typology! Last week our GCON team presented to 1st-year General Construction and Electrical students at West-MEC . Our team not only broke down tier level redundancy and the role of electrical equipment, they built a functioning model! Thank you to the West-MEC Northeast Campus instructors and students for sharing their classes with us!
Thank you to 7x24 Exchange International for bringing International Data Center Day to the forefront every year. Can't for March 26, 2026!

Stewardship is a GCON core value that our employees live by every day. We strive to make our workplace, industry and community a significantly better and safer place—investing with our minds, hands and hearts.
This month, our New Mexico team hosted two job walks for the University of New Mexico (UNM) Association of General Contractors (AGC) Chapter, offering students firsthand insight into real-world construction projects. Our GCON team shared their expertise and experience, answering questions about this line of work and showing them what it entails. Mentoring the next generation of industry professionals is vital to ensuring a strong construction workforce. It's up to all of us to invest the time and be stewards of our future and the next generation of builders.

GCON's approach to Women in Construction Week is about reflection, appreciation and action. As we reflect on women's critical impact and contributions in the construction industry, our company has immense appreciation for the team of women who influence, guide and lead GCON every day. Women in Construction may have a designated week in March, but the other 51 weeks of the year deserve recognition too. GCON is committed to setting the standard for respect and opportunity, elevating our industry where everyone can thrive.

Drum roll please… introducing GCON’s Greatest! 🤗 Each month we will highlight an employee that has demonstrated qualities that embody our company’s core values. These employees are nominated by fellow employees and/or supervisors.
This month we are highlighting Robert, one of GCON’s Project Managers located in Rio Rancho, New Mexico. Robert was selected for his exceptional demonstration of "unconventional thinking". His ability to provide unique insights and navigate complex challenges has saved countless hours, enabling his team to complete projects more efficiently.
Robert remembers going to jobsites with his father, “watching him operate heavy equipment and large cranes while building highway bridges always fascinated me.” Eventually, Robert’s dad was able to own his own construction company and Robert was helping him on-site anytime that he could.
From there, Robert fell into roles revolving around Manufacturing Equipment, Engineering & Maintenance and the Installation of Manufacturing Equipment, “I always found that I was first to volunteer to be directly involved with every technology transfer so that I could be involved with the construction and installation of factory process equipment.” Robert says that the most fulfilling part of his job is being a part of something that starts out as an idea and turns into reality.
Congratulations, Robert, and thank you for being a big part of ! 🥳

GCON’s annual holiday party was held in early December at Heritage at Sportsman’s Park located at State Farm Stadium. This year’s festivities included live caricature drawings, balloon animals, a mechanical reindeer and a 360-degree photo booth! One of the most special parts of our holiday party is the effort our event team makes for every child. Our team goes out and hand selects a gift for each child that is catered to their likes and interests. Mr. and Mrs. Claus then attend the party every year to hand out presents and take pictures with all GCON families.
Thank you to all of our staff – we would not be where we are today without YOU! GCON hopes that everyone had a safe and happy holiday season. 😊🎄🎁

Starting 2025 off strong! Thank you Phoenix Business Journal and Audrey Jensen for featuring GCON and bringing our leadership and high-tech activity forward. We have worked hard to assemble our advanced technology teams with industry leaders like Jason Ptacek, Brian White and Kyle King, positioning GCON as a trusted, go-to partner for the global companies coming to Arizona.
Our CEO, Mike Godbehere spoke with PBJ, proudly stating, "we're the best kept Arizona-based secret when it comes down to the level of skill that we have as a construction manager that competes with a lot of these national firms." We are excited for the projects this year has in store and, like many of our industry partners, look forward to sharing in the growth our state continues to experience.
Another Intel veteran has joined the executive ranks at this Arizona construction firm that's setting its sights on big tech projects.

As a full-service construction management company serving the Southwest, GCON forges solid relationships with clients through proven performance – project after project.
Our teams are experienced in building projects from small tenant improvements to large office complexes. We value relationships and work hard to earn the trust of our clients. GCON will Plan, Build and Deliver your project with confidence.
GCON President, Mike Godbehere and fellow Arizonan and Co-founder, Gabriel Gavriilidis, created GCON in 2003. The owners became friends while attending Arizona State University where a seed was planted to one day start a general contracting business that would be unique in its flexibility to move between market segments to truly provide a full-service experience for every client.
The first project built by GCON the client provided a cashier’s check for $30,000 “to help get us started” solidifying the vision that relationships and trust would be the foundation of our organization. That check, along with one laptop (that is still displayed in the GCON office) and a handful of business cards were the start of one of the largest construction companies serving the Southwest.
The GCON corporate philosophy is all about building relationships with clients, employees and the community. Since its inception, GCON and their team have been dedicated to volunteering to schools, cities, parks and non-profit organizations, even being recognized as a Phoenix Business Journal Corporate Philanthropist. Employees are valued at GCON, and are offered incredible benefits, career growth opportunities and constant leadership training.
GCON is a financially sound company coupled with their unique business model, they successfully navigated the 2008 recession emerging stronger and more diverse than ever. GCON is now working in 12 states and has completed major projects for clients that serve many of the top Data Center Provider providers and high tech companies.
As the company continues to grow, GCON is proud to be headquartered in Arizona and build projects that build our communities.
