- More efficient.

For your next project, consider this. Closed cell spray is the most innovative insulation on the market. It has the highest R- Value per inch (R7.5), acts as an air barrier, acts as a v***r barrier, does not require an ignition barrier, and can be painted with intumescent paint that will act as a thermal barrier. What does this mean for your project? You can save money and still get the best insulation on the market! Using closed cell will allow you to cut costs by not needing a vented ridge, not needing a vented eave system, not needing a radiant barrier for condensation prevention, and not needing to install a ceiling to install your insulation on and act as a thermal barrier for your insulation! On average projects with spray foam see a 20% savings on their energy bills when compared to traditional insulation. That number goes up as high as 50% in some situations!

This family was having issues with cellulose finding it’s way into their home. After removing the old cellulose we added 3” of closed cell on attic floor. This is a great application to seal any air infiltration to the attic assembly. This client went with 3” (R22) of closed cell and plans an adding R19 batts on top. We recommend running those batts the opposite direction of the bottom chord to prevent thermal bridging. You can do this with blown in insulation as well.
