A business update. I've decided to return to teaching full-time. I will still be offering handyman services through That Guy Ken, but my availability will be limited during the school year. The summer months of June, July, and August will be the best times to schedule with me for more involved projects. A porch ceiling needed repainted with a new color!

Railing replacement. The old white railing was unsafe, because it was rotted and falling away from the front stoop. It needed to be replaced. I kept the colonial style and built a brand new railing.

Here is some landscaping work I did removing these rock gardens. All the rocks were moved to other rock gardens on the property. The plants were removed along with the pavers. Each garden had a stump that was removed. I then filled with topsoil and planted grass seed. Customer will have new grass in a few weeks!

This garage door and trim needed to be cleaned up and refreshed with a new coat of paint.

Customer wanted their countertop to be updated with a self-adhering countertop. I installed this peel and stick countertop for them. Installed meticulously with no air bubbles or wrinkles.

A customer was having water leak along their basement steps. I cleaned up around the outside patio and installed a barrier between the patio and house foundation. This prevented the water from leaking in. I also patched the interior & exterior foundation wall and placed a leak proof protective coating on it. I proceeded to clean up a coal chute door along the wall and repaint that. Next, there are pictures of windows I reglazed. Lastly, there are pictures of a door with peeling paint. I sanded the door down and gave it a fresh coat of primer/paint.

Replacing ridge cap on a trailer. I removed the old ridge cap & ridge vent. Installed brand new ridge vent and ridge cap. Also, sealed up around all the vents and other areas of concern. Next are pictures of window sills that needed to be replaced due to rot. I removed the rotted portions of the window sills and attached new sills. Sealed them up and cut a drip groove on the underside. Customer will finish and paint sills.

Don't forget to have your gutters cleaned, so they can drain properly and prevent any water damage to your home.
Are you missing any siding? I found a match for this siding and replaced a few areas in need of new pieces.
This drop ceiling was not finished and falling down in areas. I repaired it.

These shutters were not installed correctly and the plastic shutter fasteners were not holding. I removed all the fasteners to several sets of shutters and replaced them with concrete fasteners. Also, a picture of a threshold (transition strip) I installed into a bathroom.

These porch steps were rotted, loose, and falling apart. They needed to be replaced. I removed the old landing and steps in order to build a new set with extended railings. Solid and beautiful! Customer will stain to match.

A customer wanted an area of their kitchen repaired. I cleaned up the walls & ceiling, patched everything, and finished it with a matching paint. They also had an old exhaust vent in their kitchen ceiling they wanted patched over. I removed the vent system, patched the opening, and painted it to match.

These aluminum awnings needed a new paint job. I cleaned them up and painted them to match the roof.

Here are some gutter cleaning and pressure washing pictures. I cleaned out debris from fall, winter, and spring in the gutters. As well as pressure washing the house, shed, patio, deck, sidewalk, and driveway.

Just odd little jobs I do for my customers. I assembled many of these metal shelves, attached various hooks to the garage walls, & assembled a corn feeder. A customer also could not get their lawn mower running this year. I worked on this Troy-Bilt for a few hours, and it is running great now. The customer then decided to ask me to handle their lawn care this year as well.

I painted this bedroom. It was out with the yellow, and in with the blue! The ceiling also had a yellow tint, and I painted it white.

Here is a room that I remodeled. I removed the popcorn ceiling and placed a layer of skim coat on it for a smooth surface. The ceiling to wall joints were also re-taped. Then I primed the ceiling and painted it. The holes in the walls needed patched, and I repaired the drywall where the phone jack wall plates were located. The baseboard was removed and the walls were primed and painted. I also removed the carpeting, underlayment, tack strips, and transition strips. This was in order to prep the subfloor for flooring. I then installed the laminate flooring, a transition strip, and a threshold strip. The baseboard was then reattached to the walls. Finally, I removed the light fixture and installed a ceiling fan with remote capabilities.
