From the Vault: Fire Station #19

The facility features four truck bays and a dormitory for ten fire fighters and two officers. Individual bedrooms and a common area of kitchen, dinning and living are the primary spatial features. A fire fighter training structure was included as a stand alone facility behind the fire station. The facility was designed to house the Lubbock fire and rescue dive team and their unique equipment needs.

From the Vault: Guthrie CSD Gymnasium & Activity Center

Because Guthrie is such a small and close knit community, the design for their facilities had to reflect that community spirit, as the facilities will serve the overall community, not just the District. Elements such as native field stone and an overall ranch feel reflect the traditional heritage found in the community. Heavy timber scissor trusses are featured in both designs and serve as the unifying element between the two facilities.

We have worked with the Lubbock County Sherrif’s Office on numerous projects and have tremendous respect for the work that our law enforcement does on a daily basis. This photo is a sobering reminder of the sacrifice Sgt. Josh Bartlett made for his community. Our office, profession, and region are grateful for his bravery. We are keeping his family and colleagues in our thoughts and prayers.

Fire Station #1

The new facility features four bays, dorms for 8 fire fighters, and new offices. This new fire station was designed and built to respect and honor past designs, while continuing to improve the services that Lubbock Fire Rescue provides to the community.
